To put it simply. Nature is pretty rad. When you need to feel humbled or even just take a quick step back from the stresses of the day I find that nature can be a savior in these situations.

Robbie Williams the famed British boy-bander and badboy (alliteration much) throws a wildly successful charity soccer match every year. Robbie of course plays on a team filled with ex professional players and pits them against such physical specimens as unknown musicians from indie bands and Mike Myers of Austin Powers fame.  Also, on the celebrity team is a famous foul-mouthed chef whom we all love to hate the one and only Gordon Ramsay. Much to his chagrin and our delight he gets clattered into during the game and seriously injures his back to the extent of having to be stretchered off. This is officially the best day ever for anyone who has ever been a contestant on Ramsay’s Hell’s Kitchen reality TV show.

49ers first round pick AJ Jenkins

Many were surprised when the 49ers took Illionis wide out AJ Jenkins with their first round pick in the draft this April. As a loyal, and long-serving member of #ninernation I can admit to screaming “WHO?!?” at the television.  He doesn’t possess the size that a lot of scouts want out of WRs in the modern game. But, AJ has the blazing speed to make the “splash” plays the 49ers offense desperately needs to make it to the next level. Jenkins ran a 4.38 40-yd dash at this year’s scouting combine and displays exceptional quickness out of his cuts. Don’t take my word for it though! Watch the video kids. AJ has skills. And as they always say in football circles “the tape don’t lie”.

Hey all! Obviously this is a work in progress (to say the least). However, the focus of this site will be all things football related. While there are exciting stories throughout the world of pigskin, I believe that the west coast is the best coast.
